Disclaimer:: It is important to note that not everything SafeVendor may see as fraud is fraud.  SafeVendor makes no guarantees whether implied or written to the accuracy of the information provided.  The methodology we use to detect fraud changes constantly as new information is filtered in everyday.  If you receive a Fraud Report, it is advised that you pause your campaign and request a review before making any cancellations.  Fraud Reports will be reviewed within 1 business day if the provider is a member of our SafeVendors Program.  If the provider is not a member, reviews may take up to as long as 5 days.

When you register for a free SafeVendor tag, you will be given a code that looks similar to this.

<javascript src="http://sv2.safevendor.com/pull.js?user=32&refer=google&type=ppc"></script>

Please note that a new code will need to be created for each provider you receive traffic from.  We advise that each provider be directed to a specific page you have created for them, as SafeVendor will not work with multiple codes on one page.  This code can be placed anywhere between the <body> and </body> tags of you html document.  Please note that this code must be embedded in an html document, it is not a redirect link.

You may sign up for as many codes as you wish.  There is no limit, but keep in mind that reports are sent via email, so 50 active accounts may result in 50 individual emails sent to your inbox.

Once the SafeVendor code is placed on an advertisers website, the code starts gathering public information on its website visitors.  SafeVendor stores this information in an advertiser log and compares that data in this log once every hour.  SafeVendor compares a number of different bits of information including ip addresses,  refers, and other bits that are highly guarded for the protection of our system.  There are many companies out there that would like to find a way to trick our systems so they can continue to defraud the advertising community, and for this reason, the information we provide here is limited.  The SafeVendor code does not place ads or links on your site.  A "Report Spam" link may appear if you choose this option when using SafeVendor for an email campaign.

It is important to note that not everything SafeVendor may see as fraud is fraud.  After all, it is a machine.  In the event that fraud is suspected, but the traffic seen as fraudulent is less than 10% of the overall traffic, a notation will be made, called a Fraud Incident,  but no notice will be sent.  In the event that the suspected fraudulent traffic makes up 10% or more of the overall traffic, a note will be sent to the advertiser via email along with a Fraud Report.

If you receive a Fraud Report, it is advised that you contact the traffic provider immediately to pause the campaign.  If the provider is one of our registered SafeVendors, our team of technicians will track down the issue to determine if the Fraud Report stands within 1 business day.

SafeVendor Dispute Reports are accepted a substantial proof for refund by over 1200 payment providers including PayPal, Visa/Mastercard, American Express, Discover and more!  While SafeVendor does supply Fraud Reports at no cost, if you would like us to process a dispute report on your behalf to your payment provider, there will be an additional fee of $2.50

Why is it free?
SafeVendor is still in its' early stages.  Each bit of data SafeVendor receives makes it smarter and more efficient.  As our AI Server gets smarter, it becomes a more valuable asset to everyone, including companies that need to keep their customers safe.

While the service is free to advertisers, SafeVendor deals with public and private companies that rely on our technology to keep their customers secure.  The fees these companies pay cover all costs of our program.
